Meet Dr. Chad Schultz

Meet Onalaska chiropractor Dr Chad Schultz

My first experience with chiropractic was very early in my childhood. My entire family, the five kids with my mom and dad, would visit our chiropractor every few weeks. We went for health or wellness chiropractic visits, not because of pain. I guess I was lucky to have parents that understood just how powerful chiropractic adjustments are for complete health. When I look back at my childhood, I realize it was because of chiropractic that I didn't have the sicknesses or sports injuries my friends experienced. I cannot thank my mom and dad enough, they are the reason I practice what I love to do each day, chiropractic!

I decided at an early age I wanted to be a chiropractor. After high school I attended the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire where I began my studies toward a Bachelor of Science Degree. I then continued my education with a five year accelerated program at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in October of 1996.

After working with other chiropractors for a few years, I decided it was time to start my own office. I opened Three Rivers Chiropractic in 2003 with a very good friend from chiropractic college, Marty Lorentz, DC.

I now live in Onalaska with the best wife I could have ever asked for, Melinda (Mindy). We have four wonderful children: three boys and one girl (Bailey 8, Carson 6, Lydia 3, and Griffin 1). They keep our life very exciting. The only thing I love more than being a chiropractor is being a father. When I'm not practicing chiropractic I enjoy a variety of activities including; spending time with my family, exercising, golfing, reading, and playing softball. I love to teach health and wellness to my patients. My spare time is filled with learning all that I can about wellness chiropractic.

Dr. Chad and Dr. Marty Asks some important questions of interest to Onalaska residents - Chiropractor Onalaska Dr. Chad and Dr. Marty Asks...

What is the purpose of pain?
Pain prompts many Onalaska folks to begin chiropractic care. But pain isn't the problem! Pain is just how your body alerts you that a limit has been reached (or exceeded), that something isn't working right and that some type of change is needed. As a chiropractor, my job is finding the underlying cause and recommending the changes needed to bring your body back into balance.
What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Onalaska folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
